Accelerate Health Equity (AHE) was selected to be featured in the American Public Health Association Thought Leadership Film Series, a part of APHA’s 2024 Annual Meeting and Expo.

Public benefits can help individuals meet health-related social needs. In partnership with Penn Medicine and Benefits Data Trust, Accelerate Health Equity recently completed a study to determine if emergency rooms are an effective place to intercept patients who may be eligible for financial assistance.

 

A year since our launch, we are excited to share our inaugural annual report on the progress we have made alongside our AHE partners and collaborators. In this report, you’ll learn about our multiple city-wide projects, first series of grant recipients, and pilot programs and initiatives, many of which are housed within individual AHE member institutions.

Our team sat down with Dr. Aditi Vasan, lead investigator on IGNITE Kids, to learn more about the study and how economic and environmental interventions can help children across the city achieve better health outcomes.
